This Redpark Serial+Power Cable connects Lightning iOS devices to RS-232 serial devices. It can also be used to connect to an external 5V power adapter in order to charge the iOS device.
The cable is used in conjunction with the Redpark RscMgr SDK and sample code. Together these tools enable you to develop iOS apps that communicate with serial devices such as point of sales devices and scientific instrumentation.
The cable supports communication at speeds up to 115.2 Kbps and requires iOS 7.x or later.
Note: Cable must be used with 5V power adapter only. Connection to other a power source providing a different voltage will damage the cable.
