Airconsole 1 to 2 Upgrade Kit
Replacement Cable Kit for existing Airconsoles to upgrade to Airconsole 2.0. Kit includes USB Serial cable and Bluetooth Dongle. Firmware upgrade to existing Airconsoles to support new cable kit freely available from Resources section of Airconsole web page. Cable is 30Cm long. Longer 180Cm cables also available.
This cable is a replacement part for the cable included with the Airconsole 2.0 Serial Adaptor. Alternatively it can be used directly with PC and Mac. The cable is practically identical to the 30cm cable bundled with Airconsole 2.0.
The cable has a female USB port on it as well, which is used to connect the included Bluetooth dongle.
The RJ45 connector can also be adapted to DB9 or DEX via RJ45-to-X adaptors also available in this store.
This USB cable has an embedded USB hub, FTDI 232 and RS232 level shifter to produce true RS232 levels.
The included Bluetooth dongle uses CSR8510 chipset and supports Bluetooth 2.1, 3.0 and 4.0 (Low Energy). Support for Serial over Bluetooth requires Airconsole adaptor running firmware version 2.5 or later.
Cable is 30 Cm in length.
