I've tried many console applications for iOS, but none that combine a hardware serial adapter with an excellent telnet/SSH implementation. The features within the console software are clearly well thought out and the product of working with people who actually need and use this type of software.

A Great Terminal App For RS232 :-)
This app is what I have been looking for terminal RS232 Comms, works great on many radio terminal node controllers and has logging capability, local echo options and scripting.
For me, it's the best app going, since the demise of Procomm!
Regular updates by the developer, just see this app getting better all the time.

I have used it with Cisco and up networking devices, it's a pretty awesome app. Just so simple to use. Must have for iPad or iPhone or iPod touch, take less with you when you set up switches or routers.

This app is very neat and simply does the job. As a heavy iPad user, this saves me from having to carry a laptop to the datacenter.

I have a zagg bluetooth keyboard for my ipad, as such it's turning into my cisco gear toolkit, being able to quickly ssh to any router/firewall/linux machine. You have your stand stuff you'd expect including saved connections, configuring the look/feel and more. Overall its a win for me mainly for the RJ45 console cable"

This app is a fantastic console app for the ipad / iphone. Works great on all my equipment and while i know theres a lot of comments to the use of redpark rj45 cable, i prefer that cable as its a smaller easier to pack cable. Its easy to have some adapters at hand for it. Also good to mention this works on Motorola tut system's. Direct serial works amazing, telnet and ssh both do as well. As a future improvement it would be great to see an option to proxy for individual saved telnet / ssh configs.

I used the previous version a lot on my iPad, and it was invaluable not to have to open my laptop all the time. However, its scrolling was sluggish, it didn't support 57,600 bps, and it occasionally crashed if I had recently plugged in the cable, especially when first starting the app. When 1.60 came out I immediately downloaded it, and it is much better! All the above issues are fixed, and I bought a second copy for my iPhone!

Such a great laptop replacement! - For a networking guy this app + the serial cable is a perfect laptop killer. I use it for Cisco Nexus and Cisco UCS even though they aren't really supported, along with all my 3750X switches, ASA firewalls and anything else I have handy. I have a couple issues with it seemingly ignoring certain keystrokes on my zaggmate keyboard but the app itself seems very solid and has already created a big stir in my networking group - I've already convinced others to buy it as well.

Free from laptop at last - I can finally stop carrying a laptop everywhere I go. This app works better than advertised and performance is outstanding. The devs are constantly updating and enhancing this app. Love the telnet and ssh support and look forward to the new features in coming versions. Seriously, if you work with Cisco (and now HP, Foundry, and Brocade) buy this app. You won't be sorry....
