Hi,
I've got AirConsole set up statically on both sides of the house (No DHCP anywhere).
This means, I have been able to enter the gadget's IP address and net mask, but no gateway address. This worked fine when I was setting the thing up. But .. when I try to access the thing remotely (from another NW), I cannot. This is understandable, as there is no GW (route) specified.
Help!
Thank you,
Paul
Access AirConsole from remote NW (Static CFG)

Re: Access AirConsole from remote NW (Static CFG)
I'm not sure of your exact network setup, but it sounds likely that you need to either:
- enter a default gateway on the LAN settings page
or
- enter a static route on the routing page
- enter a default gateway on the LAN settings page
or
- enter a static route on the routing page
Re: Access AirConsole from remote NW (Static CFG)
Thanks Daniel, wasn't sure whether that was possible as it's in a remote campus on a protected NW. That means I'll need access to the local NW (or its wireless of course).
I can ping it from a device on the same subnet (by hopping onto that device), but can't ping it from where I currently am. That usually indicates bad gateway information (or none).
Thanks again,
Paul
