Usb to Serial cable

Can I use another usb to serial cable other than the one included with my Airconsole? I have many of them and would like to use them with my Airconsole.

You can use different USB serial adapters with your Airconsole and many will work fine, however they aren't officially supported

You will probably get best results using a USB serial adapter that has an FTDI chip inside it, although several pl2303 and TI based cables should work as well.

Wow, I didn't realise the supplied blue USB to console cable was one I could plug directly into my laptop. Windows 7 installed it without me needing any additional drivers.

I also didn't realise that I could use 3rd party USB to RS232 adapters with my air-console. It totally makes sense now that I think about it.

These air-console kits are extremely useful.
