USB Bluetooth Serial cable. This cable features a USB male port, USB female port and RJ45 Serial plug. The RJ45 Serial presentation is for direct connection to Cisco and other serial console ports. 30cm. BT function requires Airconsole. Use this cable to upgrade an existing Airconsole to Airconsole 2.0. Bluetooth Dongle included. BT features supported in Airconsole Firmware 2.5 (free).
This cable is a replacement part for the cable included with the Airconsole 2.0 Serial Adaptor. Alternatively it can be used directly with PC and Mac. The cable is practically identical to the 30cm cable bundled with Airconsole 2.0. The cable has a female USB port on it as well, which is used to connect the included Bluetooth dongle.
The RJ45 connector can also be adapted to DB9 or DEX via RJ45-to-X adaptors also available in this store.
This USB cable has an embedded USB hub, FTDI 232 and RS232 level shifter to produce true RS232 levels.
Download drivers for Mac OSX v10.7 here as well as most Linux distributions. Win7/8 Drivers available. This cable also works with Airconsole if the included 30cm cable needs to be replaced.
The included Bluetooth dongle uses CSR8510 chipset and supports Bluetooth 2.1, 3.0 and 4.0 (Low Energy). Support for Serial over Bluetooth requires Airconsole adaptor.
