The C position is for if you want to charge your iPhone or Android from the built in battery inside the Airconsole, but not turn the Airconsole itself on. Ie to use it as emergency battery pack for your mobile. You dont need to switch it to "C" in order to charge it up. We will make that clearer in the next release of the manual - thanks for your comments.
