Saving a connection

Postby wglass » Sat Nov 24, 2012 6:30 pm

How do I save a connection in RapidSSH? When I click save it tells me I must enter a connection name. But I don't see any place to do this.

You need to enter something in the very top field - it's labelled somewhat confusingly "Description" (we'll make a note to update the error message)

Ahh... finally figured it out.

Even with your note, it took me a while. You can't click on Description -- there's an invisible field to the right of the word Description. It's almost impossible to find.

Suggestion (a) autofill this with the host name and (b) box off all the fields so they are easy to find.

One more note. Still took me one more try. Oddly, I had one more step which was to click on "Root Folder" and click "done". At first I just clicked "Done" and it didn't save.

I recommend simplifying this to one step -- I should be able to fill out a connection, have everything that's not important filled in automatically/ignored, and save.
