Good news, I have had success with another bluetooth dongle.
I got a dual-mode Bluetooth 4 dongle with a CSR8510 chip off eBay. Plugged that into a USB hub along with my usb console cable. Then plugged the whole lot into the airconsole. Now I can use bluetooth on my iPad instead of wifi.

Re: Feedback on firmware 2.60
Another option is to use an small 4 port USB hub plugged into the airconsole, and USB serial leads plugged into that.

Re: Feedback on firmware 2.60
I just upgraded to 2.60 and had a look at the multi port feature. I've removed the Bluetooth module and plugged a second serial cable into that port. It detects 2 serial ports, but there is only one set of TCP ports listed. How do I telnet to the second serial port? I don't have the bluetooth dongl...

Re: Feedback on firmware 2.60
Regarding the Firefox bug, I am unable to replicate currently (Mac OS X with Firefox 35.0.1). Could you screen shot your page and mail it to me (steffan@get-console.com) The web terminal does have some (limited) use of copy and paste. Firefox seems to have problems with this... Feedback on firmware 2.60
I've updated to firmware 2.60, all went well. Here is my feedback. 1) The firmware upgrade needs the airconsole to be physically rebooted, not rebooted using the reboot button. Instead of the reboot button appearing, could a message appear instead saying that you need to turn it off and on with the ...

Get-console on iOS asking me to turn on bluetooth each time
Hi,
Every time I open get-console on iOS, it get a popup saying 'Turn on bluetooth to allow "get console" to connect to Accessories' which is annoying as I don't need bluetooth turned on to do what I'm doing. Is there a way I can disable this popup?
Thanks

AirConsole as Airprint server
If the AirConsole ran CUPS, it could be configured to act as an AirPrint server. Then one could connect a printer via USB or ethernet, and print to it from your IOS device.
I don't know how much work that would be, or if it's sensible, but I thought I'd put it out there.
