The 4-port cable probably isn't as big as you think! I don't have actual dimensions to hand, but will try and dig some out tomorrow. The cables are probably the bulkiest part of the kit (4 x 1.8m console cables) but are made from thinner cable than usual to keep the bulk down.

If you only need two serial ports, one option is to plug an additional single port cable into the USB slot of one of the hub/bluetooth cables that ship with the Airconsole 2.0 kits. That way you can use the shorter 30cm cables if that is a requirement?

I haven't tried, but I assume something like this would work.

The box portion of the 4-port cables is 55mmx70mmx19mm.

That cable would probably work as well

My backpack is already stuffed full of tools/gadgets/toys/cables/adapters that those 4-port cables simply won't be able to find a home

The design of the original 30cm usb console cable is form + function at its best. If the same design can be extended upon to accommodate a 2nd RJ45 cable while maybe just making the part housing the FTDI chip that's near to the USB port slightly thicker, then it'll be a real winner.

I have this usb-to-4port-rs232 cable https://www.gearmo.com/shop/professiona ... gm-ftdi4x/ .

Another option is to use an small 4 port USB hub plugged into the airconsole, and USB serial leads plugged into that.

As someone mentioned above you can make your own smaller 2 port "franken-cable" by plugging a second USB-Serial cable into the USB port on the USB Serial cable we ship with Airconsole 2.0 - see picture attached.. :) That is smaller than a 4 port adaptor.
Thanks
