Hi Steve,
The doubling character issue you are seeing:
- if it only happens on serial sessions, but not on telnet / ssh sessions
- happens when using bluetooth keyboard AND also when using iPad software keyboard

Then this is most likely a faulty cable issue that we have seen twice before in last 12 months - please return the cable to the reseller you purchased from for a replacement. If you bought it from us then we will replace it (please advise your order or invoice number)

If you can reproduce doubling characters while on a Telnet/SSH sessions then this is a new issue that we have not seen before - please mail me at simon@get-console.com to see if we can replicate it and fix it.

Actually after further testing we have also found a weird bug in our code that can create a race condition in rare circumstances, but only on certain flavors of Apple iPads and certain firmware revisions of the Redpark C2-RJ45 cable. This race condition was causing keys to be sent twice to the serial port and explains the doubling of characters. It has been fixed in v1.70 currently being reviewed by Apple.

It was very wierd where the same cable running on 2 different iPads (both with identical iOS and versions of Get Console), 1 iPad would have the double chars problem and the other would not. Anyway we hope it is solved once and for all now.
