Private Server 1.7 - Not saving IP address

Hi guys
I'm setting up the latest version of the Private Server, and after downloading and deploying the OVA I can fire it up, log in on console and enter my chosen IP address. However the server doesn't appear to be retaining the config I provide. It never starts responding to ping, and if I log back in on console I'm asked to again provide the IP, mask and DG
It's been deployed in a vSphere 5.1 environment
Has anyone else come across this issue before? I can see in the forum there's a mention of this being a bug in an older release
