Sun SPARC connect

Postby aivengoff » Thu Oct 03, 2013 8:21 am

Hello. I have REDPARK CONSOLE CABLE (C2-RJ45V) and RJ45-DB9 (FEMALE) ADAPTER FOR C2/L2-RJ45 CONSOLE CABLE, but I can't connect to Sun Blade system. Tell me please, how I must resolve this problem?

You will need to enable hardware flow control in Get Console that is not enabled by default. See http://www.idevelopment.info/data/Unix/ ... oles.shtml

There is no option Hardware! There are options Hardware (DSR/DTR) and Hardware (RTS/CTS). I tried both. Connections aren't present.
Type of my connection:
Bits per second: 9600
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow Control: Hardware (RTS/CTS) or Hardware (DSR/DTR)

so if that does not work I suspect that the pinouts for your DB9 interface are "Null" rather than straight through and you will need the RJ45-to-DB9 (Null) adaptor
Thank you
