Multicast video

Postby ozamorano » Fri Jun 20, 2014 3:23 am

Is it possible to receive multicast video on iPad using air console? I use my laptop (cable connected to switch) and VLC to check and view remote video codecs and everything is ok (MPEG 2 and 4) but cannot do it with iPad and air console.

Hi Ozamorano,

Airconsole bridges WIFI to wired Ethernet, and/or acts as a Wired/Wireless to RS232 Serial adaptor.

It will bridge multicast frames out WIFI interface if received from switch port, but your iPad must have some application that can understand them.

Airconsole is not like a KVM over IP console device
Thanks
Simon
