Running 1.04. I followed the directions. Connected via Ethernet cable. Usb stick inserted that contains the bin file. Started update for firmware, errors and quits, "unable to find mounted usb device". I get the same error on both PC and MacBook Pro . Please help.

Make sure the USB stick has been formatted as vfat, and after the USB stick has been inserted, wait a few seconds for it to be detected before pressing the upgrade button.

Daniel,
vfat? On my windows 7 computer, I only have available, FAT, exFAT, FAT32. I think vfat is an old format, windows 95. Any other ideas.
Thanks,
Ben

You should format as either FAT or FAT32. exFAT will not work.
You should ensure that there is only one partition on the USB stick. Some USB stick manufacturers put a hidden partition that cannot be deleted at the start of the disk - these will not work for the upgrade process (you should be able to check on the Disk Management page from Windows).
If that fails, you could try using a different USB stick.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!! It works now. I tried a different USB stick, an OLD Sandisk USB stick. I am now version 2.10.
Thank you very much for the support.
