I have been trying to connect airconsole via bluetooth. Once the device is paired , the COM ports are created but as soon as I try to communicate through outgoing COM port the terminal software goes 'non-responding' and windows shows message that the device is not added properly.

It however, works fine on an android phone via bluetooth.

It's Bluetooth Low Energy rather than standard Bluetooth, does your laptop support Bluetooth Low Energy ?

Connections on Windows can either use Bluetooth or WiFi - the Bluetooth connections on Windows use classic Bluetooth EDR rather than low energy (serial port profile) but rely on Bluetooth 2.1 support for Secure Simple Pairing.

If possible, can you try changing the BT dongle you are using in your PC? Another issue is possibly that due to memory constraints the Airconsole can only cache three paired Bluetooth link keys (i.e. if you pair with more than three devices at a time the oldest one will drop off the list and need to be re-paired)
