Re: Websockets: wss connections
Hello, Airconsole doesn't currently have support for encrypted Websockets (wss://) , only ws:// at the moment. wss:// support may be added in a future firmware release, but it would require that the end-user upload a valid SSL certificate and private key to the Airconsole. The CN common name embedde...

Re: Uninstall Airconsole driver on OSX
Currently the Airconsole kernel extension must be manually removed. This can be done with the following steps: # unregister the kernel extension sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/Airconsole.kext # delete the kernel extension from the disk sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/Airconsole.ke...

Re: Websocket send bin data through serial
Hello. The example airconsole.html doesn't directly show how to send binary data although the airconsole.js is capable of doing this via the "sendBinary()" function. For example - here is some sample code which will parse the hex string in the command box into hex bytes and then send as bi...

Hello, You don't say specifically what Cisco switch you are using, but a guide to setting up SSH access on Cisco switches can be found here: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst2960/software/release/12-2_53_se/configuration/guide/2960scg/swauthen.html#wp1227177 There is no SSH ...

Re: USB to USB connection
As Chris mentions, the Airconsole does work with Cisco USB style console ports. These are presented as USB CDC.
Airconsole in general can communicate with CDC based devices but hasn't specifically been tested with non-Cisco devices. Please let us know how you get on!

Re: UDP or TCP settings
The default settings for communication is TCP port 3696 (for telnetcpcd protocol) or TCP port 2167 (rawserial). These can be changed from the defaults in the Airconsole configuration page. If you have a web-based app, it is also possible to communicate via Websockets which default to port 8080. The ...

Re: Access AirConsole from remote NW (Static CFG)
I'm not sure of your exact network setup, but it sounds likely that you need to either:
- enter a default gateway on the LAN settings page
or
- enter a static route on the routing page

Re: Unable to update to latest firmware
You should format as either FAT or FAT32. exFAT will not work. You should ensure that there is only one partition on the USB stick. Some USB stick manufacturers put a hidden partition that cannot be deleted at the start of the disk - these will not work for the upgrade process (you should be able to...

Re: Unable to update to latest firmware
Make sure the USB stick has been formatted as vfat, and after the USB stick has been inserted, wait a few seconds for it to be detected before pressing the upgrade button.

Re: VLAN on the Ethernet
The wired ethernet interface and wireless interface form a bridge so you can communicate to devices plugged into the wired interface by connecting to the Airconsole wireless interface. The bridge can be configured to operate as a DHCP server in which case your managed device and the device you are u...
