Re: Redpark C2-DB9 - Good for Hobbyists - NOT for Get Consol
Hi Mirenna Are you trying with the C2-DB9 or C2-RJ45? Also are you using v1.63 of Get Console. I think Apple have re-implemented the stricter check again. We'll see what we can do in v1.64, but as previously stated, the only supported way to get DB9 presentation is via the C2-RJ45 cable and a conver...

Re: Bit Rate speed increase to 115200
Hi aix42day
The serial pins on the 30 pin dock connector on the Apple iOS device only support 57600 which is why its currently limited, however we are working on something to hopefully get around this limitation that will enable 115200 and higher speeds. More soon.
Thanks
Simon

Re: Larger scroll back and a paste buffer...
Hi Jim, 1) If you are referring to scrollback buffer in the App, you can set this to 1000+ in versions later than v1.61 as we made improvements in the way the screen redraws to handle much longer scrollbacks However on the website when you are remote accessing its currently limited to about 150 line...

Officially Supported Equipment List
Get Console has been extensively tested internally with the serial console ports of most main stream network equipment vendors. While this below list provides equipment we have tested, the settings required maybe different. For example, the Cisco 3500XL switches require hardware flow control enabled...

Re: Redpark C2-DB9 - Good for Hobbyists - NOT for Get Consol
Hmmm - ive just tested it with the official apple iOS 5.0.1 and seems to work again. You still get a popup saying this accessory needs an app, but ignoring that and starting get-console it detects and uses C2-DB9. Not sure how long it will stay like this, so our advice is still to use C2-RJ45 and bu...

Re: Redpark C2-DB9 - Good for Hobbyists - NOT for Get Consol
I'm pretty sure if you have C2-DB9 working now, it will STOP working in iOS 5 :( this is because Apple have a much stricter External Accessory check in iOS5 - and the hack we were using to make C2-DB9 work doesn't work anymore. Best to stick to C2-RJ45 cable with a dongle. If you need to swap a C2-D...

Re: pasting scripts
Hi Tj You can paste in long configurations using the "files" feature - or simply by creating a text script in the clipboard viewer and then using the paste button to push it into the terminal window. We use the files feature to create configuration templates for routers and switches and th...

Re: Troubleshooting
Review the settings on you line con0 on the 6500 - if flowcontrol hardware is enabled then you'll need to turn that on in the app (use RTS/CTS) and then disconnect/reconnect cable from the iPad/iPhone end. We have tested it with our sup720 in our lab 6500 and it works fine, but the 6500 console port...

Re: Crash on iOS 5.0 b4
Thanks for your post - we are still working on iOS5 support for our app - we'll do some testing on this in particular and put a fix into the next release.
